Manufacturing Production and Operations (MPRO)
The Manufacturing Production and Operations program prepares students to become skilled members of a production team, enabling them to be fully proficient manufacturing system employees. Manufacturing companies require skilled employees that are able to effectively use gauging, inspection, and operations techniques to produce high quality products. Students will be trained to understand the needs, processes, and activities used in today's manufacturing environment.

Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics introduces students to modern manufacturing systems, concepts, and skills. Created by industry, the course prepares students to obtain industry credentials and includes dual credit opportunities. Students apply skills and knowledge specific to modern manufacturing processes to obtain resources and change them into industrial materials, industrial products and consumer products. Students investigate the properties of engineered materials and study the major types of material processes. After gaining a working knowledge of these materials, students are introduced to advanced manufacturing, logistics, and business principles that are utilized in today’s advanced manufacturing industry. Students gain a basic understanding of tooling, electrical skills, operation skills, inventory principles, safety, chart and graph reading and problem solving. Students have the opportunity to develop the characteristics employers seek as well as skills that will help them in future endeavors.
