Tours and Speakers

There’s no substitute for giving your students a first-hand look at the high-tech careers that can await them in advanced manufacturing and logistics – we hope you’ll help spark their interest in these opportunities by arranging for classroom speakers and/or class tours of one or more of the facilities in your area that help make Indiana the strongest advanced manufacturing and logistics state in the nation.

To identify opportunities, ask students to make an “employer tree” – a listing of where their parents, aunts and uncles and other family members work.  Because more than one of every five Hoosiers is employed in advanced manufacturing or logistics, these lists are certain to yield individuals in these industries who could speak to your class or provide a company contact for scheduling a tour.  Please tell us about your experience so we can share it with other educators.
